Like its thorns, this Durian had harmed a lot of victims in Philippines before it rolled over to a small coastal town where I was born in Phanrang of NinhThuan province and vicinities. Luckily it licked slightly there yesterday evening and moved complicatedly to the Southern West. What a pity for Phuqui Island of BinhThuan province in their damages. Ealier in that afternoon, having searched more an e-map of typhoon warning on U.S.Navy websites, I also believed it could happen. I told some of my colleagues that I crossed my fingers for lucks to them if leaders there in the region would know how to do somethings for villagers, for regional people before it came. And finally they did things at least enthusiasticaly ok that I saw them on the live VTV1 national channel in the evening - (abt. 19:10 local time Dec 4, 2006). In NinhThuan province, they co-ordinated local tele-communication networks to communicate with fishermen' ships/boats for their safe anchorages. Military forces were sent to help villagers to evacuate temporarily away the dangerous areas. Foods and medicines were also prepared readily. It'd rather be so than nothing!
Fortunately next day, storm faded-out before my luncheon here in HoChiMinh city. Thanks to the modern typhoon warning and tracking systems from places, man could do somethings to avoid/limit damages in lives and properties. However, subjectivism in the solved situation is the don't.
